剧情简介

1920s, corruption runs rampant in Hong Kong. Selfless Long Wang (played by Wan Quanzhang) takes on debt to purchase a firefighter's position, determined to better his family's life. In the process of helping brothers Huang Shui and Huang Shan (portrayed by Lin Jiahua and Lin Wenlong), he angers supe 1920s, corruption runs rampant in Hong Kong. Selfless Long Wang (played by Wan Quanzhang) takes on debt to purchase a firefighter's position, determined to better his family's life. In the process of helping brothers Huang Shui and Huang Shan (portrayed by Lin Jiahua and Lin Wenlong), he angers superior Chen Bo (played by Dai Zhiwei). Chen Bo's friend Zhou Jin Rong (played by Luo Le Lin) plots to sell Long Wang to Southeast Asia. His wife, Yuan Xiu Lan (played by Mi Xue), embarks on a desperate mission to save him, but finds herself in a powerless predicament. Sent to a Indonesian mine as a slave, Long Wang continues to escape, ultimately meeting the owner's daughter Xu Nuo (portrayed by Luo Lin). Realizing the difficulty of his situation, Long Wang decides to wait patiently for his release. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo sympathizes with Long Wang's plight and persuades him to start a transportation business. However, Dutch troops suppress their endeavor, resulting in casualties, including Xu Nuo taking her family's possessions and leaving Indonesia with others. Moved by Xu Nuo's kindness, Long Wang proposes marriage, only to be turned down. Tragically, Xu Nuo dies, never able to reunite with the one she loved. Tormented by guilt, Yuan Xiu Lan returns to Hong Kong but remains unrecognized by Long Wang. She secretly helps him escape from Huang Shui's relentless pursuit. Despite his chasing, Huang Shui can't let go, causing distress not only for Long Wang but also for his family and wife Little Swallow (played by Gu Ke Yun). In the end, Xu Nuo sacrifices herself to save Long Wang, who, grief-stricken, proposes to her in vain. Struggling between love and duty, Yuan Xiu Lan finds solace with businessman Lei Xing Hui (played by Wang Wei), who cares for her and their children. Upon reencountering Long Wang in Hong Kong, she hesitates to reveal herself due to guilt. Instead, she secretly aids his escape from Huang Shui's grasp, but he remains unrelenting, causing harm not only to Long Wang but also to Huang Shan and Little Swallow. The story concludes with Xu Nuo's selfless sacrifice, Long Wang's unrequited love for Yuan Xiu Lan, and the lingering consequences of evil actions. 详情

3星。前半段还可以，后半段真的非常拖沓，大概是为了凑成大时代背景，硬是拉到30集。万子经历了人生中所有惨的事，后面强行拆cp再复原，也是很别扭。林文龙的线也很莫名其妙，智商时而在线时而脱线，郭可盈的哭戏真美。这是我看过朱咪咪最惨的一部剧，她这张喜剧脸，这么悲惨的结局也是很难适应。监制竟然是刘家豪，真不该啊。

这部剧非常值得观看，因为它与文龙多的其他作品一样，人物设定非常鲜明和生动。我记得当年看过郭晋安的古灵精探时，也是如此感叹。最终，我对这个好人设有了一些“忧而无辞”的思想。男主长旺真并不具备太多令人印象深刻的特点，但反而是林生的黄山更是英勇、俊美、负责任和担当，危难时刻总是在前救后护。感情线也处理得很完善，夫妻档也是各种情节。
